The problem

Your AC isn't broken. Your attic is the leak.

Most Alabama homes lose the cooling fight before it even starts. Sun hits the roof, the attic heats up like an oven, and that heat pours down through your insulation into every room below. Your AC runs all day trying to undo it.

FLIR thermal image of an attic: the hot side reads 114°F in red, the cool side reads 94°F in purple — a 20°F differential across the same attic.
01

The sun hits your roof at 160°F+

In July, an Alabama roof surface can top 160°F. That radiant heat pours straight through shingles and decking into your attic.

02

Your attic becomes an oven

Most Alabama attics sit between 130 and 150°F on summer afternoons — hotter than the surface of your cooktop.

03

That heat radiates into your living space

Traditional insulation slows conduction, but does almost nothing to stop radiant heat. Your ceilings warm, your AC never catches up.

04

You pay for it on every power bill

The average Alabama home can spend nearly $1,800/yr on cooling. A radiant barrier can cut that nearly in half.

How it works

Straight answers

Questions every homeowner asks.

Will this damage my roof or void my warranty?

No. We staple the barrier to the underside of your rafters — we never penetrate your roof deck or shingles. Your manufacturer's roof warranty stays fully intact, and we'll put that in writing.

How long does it last?

Aluminum doesn't degrade, rust, or lose reflectivity. Once installed correctly, your radiant barrier will outlast your roof. No maintenance, no replacement.

Will it cause moisture or mold problems?

No — and this is why we only use perforated aluminum. The tiny perforations let moisture vapor pass through, so nothing gets trapped against your decking.

How much does it cost?

Depends on attic size and accessibility, but every job starts with a free on‑site measurement and a firm written quote. Most Alabama homes pay for the install in 18–36 months of cooling savings.

How long does the install take?

A typical Alabama home is done in 4–6 hours, start to finish. We show up in the morning, we're gone by afternoon, and you don't lift a finger.

Do you only work in Alabama?

For now, yes. We're Alabama‑owned and we only serve Alabama homes. We know these summers, and we know these houses.
